PRODUCT DELAYS

It seems to be all to common at the moment across multiple TCGs, but here is what is available in store this release weekend. Remaining items are close but we do not have an exact date yet.

MTG STAR TREK - Boosters

MTG STAR TREK - Commander Decks

MTG STAR TREK - Collector Commander Decks

Bundles and Collector Boosters are only a week or so away though.

NOW THE TRUTH OF THE MATTER

Response to this set has been very much underwhelming and this release is looking like being the poorest we have seen in a long time. We did get wind of this very early on too. We are not sure why but I will hazard a guess is that core MTG players are tired of and do not need these Universes sets.

It is what it is though and as long as big retail keeps wanting this IP product, I am sure it will be continuing. Especially when Collector Boosters are still in massive demand.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU OUR PLAYERS

We have cut our ordering on this product, allocations were low anyway and product other than play boosters and commander decks has been delayed. But Pre Release is an important component for our regular players.

Our attendance at pre release events determines what allocations we get for PR on future sets. This is why at the very least, pre-release is something MTG players need to consider. If the next set is really popular, and players want to join in on pre release, the numbers might be reduced because of poor attendance. This might not happen as our PR attendance for the last two sets was strong, but we do not want to leave this to fate!

WHAT ARE WE DOING ABOUT IT

As a result, we have dropped the price of Star Trek Pre Release down to $45! This makes it more affordable, especially for those who might be on the fence a bit. But if we can get the numbers, it will secure future event numbers at Unplugged.

Yes, we will not make any money on pre release this weekend but we feel it is important to put plans in action to best support our players long term.

So click this link and sign up for any of our Star Trek events this weekend and support your game.

And if you want one on Sunday too, please let me know.

We would love to see you all this weekend and if you could see your way clear to buy some packs or a deck, we would appreciate it as it would help recoup the discounted pre release.

Thanks to you all for your support, hte reponse to the new store has been great and we would love to have the first MTG Pre Release at the new shop be a success.
