"The galaxy writhes in the mailed fist of all-consuming war. The Imperium of Mankind teeters on the brink of annihilation, beset upon all sides by heretic warlords, daemon-summoning witches and rapacious alien empires...
You can enter this universe of horrors today, if you dare. But remember this is a more terrible era than ever before, and there is no peace amongst the stars."

Warhammer Old World Gathering (Casual Events)
"Return to the World of Legend, rank up your forces, and outflank your foes with classic fantasy miniatures. Fight massed fantasy battles in a rich and wondrous setting where countless factions seek to protect their homelands and subjugate their foes."
Once a month we have a 'Planned' gathering of Warhammer Old World players. If you are new or old to the Warhammer Old World scene, come on in and test your meddle against each others armies and/or chat with the players to meet new people or mingle with the like minded.
Please note: as these are not paid events, space available will be determined by what other special events are being run on the day. Players may be asked to move around the store or to play in the foyer.
Please see the "Event Calendar" for the next Warhammer Old World Gathering event.

Learn-To-Play Organised Events
Current Organised Learn-To-Play is: 11th October 2025
The following Learn-To-Play event will be sometime in January 2026
Introduction to the event:
This event is a way to bring together groups of new players with the selected experienced players to enable people who are not sure of the game to learn about it and how it works before and or after purchasing product.
We plan on introducing one experienced player as a teacher to teach two new players how to play, and even run a game between them over a 3 hour period to learn the basics of Warhammer 40k.
Unplugged Games is hoping to run one of these once every three months. But any one is allowed to organise amongst yourselves to do their own mini learn-to-plays with new players at any time within reason. It it not limited to this event.
There will be a Current MAXIMUM of 8 NEW Players (Numbers may change if more experienced players volunteer to teach) – PAID BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL
Experienced players who wish to teach for this event need to organise directly with the store via coming instore or emailing at; store@unpluggedgames.com.au so we can allocate new players - DO NOT PURCHASE the event entry.
We can organise up to 6 experienced players (If we get the full 6 volunteers but not a full 12 players, we will randomly allocate players to tables as fairly as we can).
When: 26th July 2025, 10:30am
Where: Shop 3/132 Dawson Street Lismore
Entry Cost For the players: Cost $20 for each new player (This $20 will be divided between $10 for the table fees and $10 which will given to the experienced player as store credit to pay them for their time and effort).
Tools of War: Experienced players will be asked to bring at least two 500pt armies with their army lists, rule guides to teach with and allow the new players to use, plus a notepad and pen. New players should bring a notepad and pen as well.
(To make it a balanced games, players will be required to use the armies supplied by the teachers. If players would like to know more about armies they already know, they can ask)
If you are an experienced player and would like to volunteer for these events, please reach out to us, instore or using the Unplugged games email: store@unpluggedgames.com.au
Before signing up to any Unplugged Games Wargaming event please be sure to aquaint yourself with the Wargaming Code of Conduct HERE
Please Note: This event is a work in progress, and if anyone has any questions or concerns please contact the store to discuss.

Wargaming Code of Conduct
When you play at Unplugged games for ANY Wargaming events you agree to the following;
- No bullying of any kind will be tolerated.
- Avoid any SWEARING or language your opponent might find offensive.
- No preparation of vaping or cigarettes at the table (we have an allocated space for you to smoke and vape. Please ask our staff if you are unsure as to where that space is).
- Please be aware that you may not be the only table in the room. Be mindful of your noise.
- That you will arrive on time with all of the things required to play the game (In the instance of a competitive event, late comers will automatically forfeit their first round if they are not on time).
- Make a respectful gesture to your opponent before and after the game, such as offering a handshake, wishing them good luck etc.
- Answer any questions your opponent has about your army and the rules that apply to your army.
- You will measure your moves and distances carefully and accurately (No take backs on moves will be allowed).
- Give your opponent the chance to examine your dice rolls before picking up the dice.
- Ask permission before touching any of your opponent’s miniatures.
- Remind your opponent about rules they may have forgotten to use or that they have used incorrectly within reason and respectfully. In competitive play, if a rule cannot be agreed on, call the judge to the table.
- Never deliberately waste time during a game.
- Avoid distracting an opponent when they are trying to concentrate, and be careful to respect their personal space.
- Never complain about your bad luck or your opponent’s good luck
Those who repeatedly break the rules or who repeatedly fail to follow instructions at any event may be disqualified and removed from the event without refund. Unplugged Games and the judge reserve the right to remove players from events at their discretion.
Ending the Battle Early or Conceding
- Ideally, a battle should always be played until the end. On occasion, though, one or both players may not be able, or may not wish to, complete the battle.
- If you and your opponent both agree to end the battle early, then you can end the battle at a mutually agreed point (we suggest at the end of a battle round). You and your opponent can then calculate your final victory points totals, taking into account any objectives achieved, to determine the victor.
- If only one player wants to end the battle early then that player must concede and remove all their models from the battlefield. A player who concedes scores 0 victory points for that battle and their opponent is automatically the victor (even if they scored 0 victory points during the battle). The other player may continue to play out their turns until the battle ends if they wish, perhaps to accrue a few more victory points, or they can choose to end the battle now.
3D Printed Models and/or Armies
During tournaments that include Games workshop prizes, 3D printed models or major adjustments (Head pieces, weapons etc) to models will not be allowed (This is to support Games Workshop as they are supporting us to run these events).
This is officiated by the Warhammer world Model Requirements for any official tournament. See PDF HERE: )
Battle Ready Armies
We are introducing for all our tournaments the “Battle Ready Standard” which means armies considered “Battle Ready” will receive 10 victory points.
To achieve this armies must;
- Be fully painted with a minimum of 3 different colours (3 Shades of the same colour don’t count. i.e. White, Light Grey, Grey).
- Players armies must be cohesive to tie into their factions (for example, 1 primary colour present)
- Bases must be textured and painted.
Scoring:
At the end of each game, use the provided score sheet to record your results and provide them to the judge’s table.
Helpful Apps
Apps that can help run the day;
- Tabletop Battles App (Android)
- Chess Timer
- Warhammer 40k App
